The Art of Michael Francis Lane

It was Michael’s great desire that his art be enjoyed by as many people as possible. More than two hundred pieces of Michael’s art are displayed on this website. In creating these works, Michael drew inspiration from the writings of many authors, some of which include: Arthur Rimbaud, Carl Sandburg, Charles Baudelaire, Edgar Allen Poe, Frederico Garcia Lorea, Hart Crane, Louis MacNeice, Oscar Wilde, Paul Verlaine, the movie “Taxi Driver”, Rainer Maria Rilke, Stephane Mallarme, Walt Whitman, Sylvia Plath, William Shakespeare, and William Blake.

Michael Francis Lane died on January 28, 2002, at the age of thirty-three.
